Uluru (Ayers Rock) is about 450 kilometers by road from Alice Springs; Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park is home to the most recognized Australian landmark - Uluru (previously called Ayers Rock). World-Heritage listed, Uluru - Kata Tjuta National Park covers an area of approximately 1325 square kilometers of striking landscape. In addition to the Rock the park also includes Kata Tjuta (previously called the Olgas).
Adelaide is a city of great visual harmony and has a classical elegant style, superbly set beside the River Torrens between the Adelaide Hills and waters of Gulf St Vincent. Be sure and visit the Adelaide Central Market, the largest fresh produce market in the Southern Hemisphere. Another must see is the National Aboriginal Cultural Institute (Tandanya) the world's largest display of Aboriginal culture and artifacts. Nearby in the Adelaide Hills is the National Motor Museum which comprises over 300 cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles and is considered to be one of the best displays in the world.
